Product introduction
With the recovery of world shipbuilding industry and the increased proportion of output for high technology and high added - value ships, China will enter into the list of world powerful shipbuilding countries, and East China region is a major shipbuilding and ship repairing base in our country, the annual market demand is big. Ship plate is the competitive product and key product of our company’ tenth five-year plan and NISCO ranks in the top among the domestic companies in terms of ship plate output and quality. The products has passed the plant approval of classification societies including ABS of the U.S., BV of France, CCS of China, DNV of Norway, GL of Germany, KR of South Korea, LR of UK, NK of Japan and RINA of Italian since 1991, and NISCO is the earliest plant which gets the approval certificate of classification societies from nine countries, it enjoys a high market share and good reputation for quality, and its service quality is widely applauded by the users. The ship plate output of the Company was up to 960,000 tons in 2007 ranking No.4 among the national industries. The ship plate output was up to 1,480,000 tons in 2008 ranking No.3 among the national industries. In 2008 the Company passed the approval of classification societies from nine countries for the highest grade of FH40-Z35 with the thickness up to 40 mm. In 2009 the Company passed the approval of classification societies from nine countries for the highest grade of EH36 - Z35 with the thickness up to 60 mm, and expanded to 80 mm in 2012. In 2011 the Company passed the approval of classification societies from nine countries for the highest grade of FH550 - Z35 with the thickness up to 60 mm. E690 with the thickness of 80 mm is being under plant type approval at this moment, and expected to possess the supplier qualification in July, 2013.
